Growing up and living most of his life in Amman, Jordan, Mahmoud Shabeeb started volunteering with aid organizations during his university studies at Yarmouk University in northern Jordan, where he majored in Radio and Television studies.
Obtaining a media and communications background, necessary volunteer experience helping refugees, and skills in Arabic, English, and French languages; Mahmoud secured his position as a Media and Communications specialist in different aid organizations.
Mahmoud’s passion for social media started in 2010, and ever since he has been responsible for creating and managing several social media outlets through voluntary and professional work experiences. Currently, Mahmoud is the Regional Communications Officer for the Syria Crisis at aid organization CARE International, handling communications, media, and social media work for the response over the region.
