Madlen Ida Behrle is a 26-year-old master student at MCI Management Center Innsbruck studying Social Work, Social Policy & Management. She completed her bachelor’s in social work at the University of Applied Sciences in Vorarlberg. During her studies she completed two internships in the field of illegal substance abuse counselling and mental health care.

Her main interest is political social work, specializing on the extent to which social work is responsible for creating social justice in society.  This includes measures to improve the economic and social situation of disadvantaged social groups as well as the responsibility of social work at the socio-political level. Madlen is also one of the initiators of the positioning paper of social work students across Austria speaking out against the handling of the Austrian government regarding the UN-migration compact.
