Kalcsics

A freelance radio journalist and producer for the Austrian broadcaster ORF, Monika Kalcsics has also worked periodically as emergency communication coordinator for the Caritas network, most recently during the Pakistan floods in 2010. In 2007 she co-founded the production company name>it positive media (www.nameit.at) with the focus on covering underrepresented reports in the media.
Her combined career as a journalist and emergency aid worker has allowed her to understand the challenges we face when confronted with a humanitarian disaster and the need to report it.
