Zeina Hassan is the Mental Health & Psychosocial Support Regional Coordinator for Medecins du Monde (MdM) in the Middle East. MdM is a humanitarian organization that provides health and mental health services to vulnerable populations, including refugees, internally displaced persons, and migrants. In the Middle East, MdM is currently providing mental health and psychosocial support services in 6 countries (Egypt, Palestine, Iraq, Turkey, Lebanon, Jordan) with the overall aim of establishing access to quality MHPSS care and/or treatment. For the past four years, Zeina has held a number of positions in mental health program coordination (Mental Health Coordinator, Mental Health Technical Manager, Mental Health Area Manager) as part of the Syrian emergency response. Zeina has a BA in International Relations from Tufts University, a Masters in Public Health from the American University of Beirut, as well as a diploma in Mental Health Policy and Services from Nova De Lisboa University.
