Tareke Brhane is an refugee and interpreter working with Save the Children in Lampedusa, Italy. Tareke made two dangerous attempts to reach Mediterranean island of Lampedusa. He works with the aid organization Save the Children, welcoming new arrivals, offering them food, drink and support. He knows first-hand what the boat people have been through.
