Marian Benbow Pfisterer is  a German lawyer. She gained substantial migration-related and managerial experience at the International Organization for Migration since 2005, most recently as Head of the IOM Country Office for Austria and before that as Head of Project Management/ Liaison in Nuremberg. There she oversaw all projects implemented by IOM at the sub-office in Nuremberg and managed a team of 50 staff members. She was responsible for project development for the IOM mission in Germany, as well as for liaison, fundraising, negotiations and maintaining contacts with a broad range of stakeholders in Germany. She assumed delegated responsibilities as officer in charge during absences of the Chief of Mission of IOM Germany and Managed and implemented a broad range of migration projects, including IOM’s largest global assisted voluntary return and reintegration program, integration and counter-trafficking projects as well as resettlement and humanitarian admission schemes.

Before joining IOM, Ms Benbow Pfisterer worked as a Corporate Business Immigration Lawyer in Frankfurt/ Main and gained initial experiences in international organizations while completing internships in Berlin and Vienna.

Ms Benbow Pfisterer speaks English and German fluently, and has a basic knowledge of French, Spanish and Norwegian.
