Ulrike Last, studied Rehabilitation Science at the Humboldt University Berlin in the 90s. 2002-03 she made her Master in Development Studies at Leeds University. Thereafter she started work in Somalia for three years on civil society, mental health and functional rehabilitation. After her studies she worked in South East Asia, the Middle East and moved back to Eastern Africa in support of programs working on disability inclusive good governance, humanitarian action and development. She is back in Europe since September 2014, initially working with Handicap International as a technical advisor in Switzerland, and in Berlin with Handicap International Germany as a technical advisor for programs in the Middle East, Eastern and Southern Africa, and Central Asia since January 2016.
