Austrian Red Cross

The Austrian Red Cross is part of the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement, a global humanitarian network with 80 million members, staff and volunteers that assists those in need due to conflict and disasters as well as those facing health or social problems.

The Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement is independent, neutral and impartial. With its national societies in 192 countries it provides humanitarian aid (disaster response and recovery) and development to vulnerable people around the world.
