Caritas Austria

Caritas Austria is part of the Caritas International Confederation with over 160 members who are working at the grassroots in almost every country of the world. Caritas is the helping hand of the Catholic Church – reaching out to the poor, vulnerable and excluded, regardless of race, gender or religion.

Caritas’ principles of dignity, justice, solidarity and stewardship give essential guidance for its members. The Caritas confederation has been responding to emergencies for more than 60 years. Within their international work, Caritas Austria supports numerous projects worldwide – from humanitarian aid operations, development programmes to policy and advocating for a better world for everyone.
