I am a current student at Webster University Vienna studying Psychology with a
minor in International Relations. Before I began my studies in Vienna, I
successfully established a German language program for refugees in my
hometown, managed a summer camp for children from socially deprived
backgrounds and held several positions as a volunteer in social aid projects such
as supporting children with special needs in their daily routine in Germany and
Ecuador and tutoring refugee children. Since then I focused on my studies as well
as on gaining professional experience during a 6-month internship with the
International Cultural Diversity Organization (ICDO).
For me being born as a part of the most privileged few percent of our world’s
population is not only a lucky position but comes with responsibility,
responsibility to care for the less privileged majority of our fellow human beings.
This responsibility is all-embracive and as soon as one has the resources to do
so, each and everyone of us should aim to MAKE A DIFFERENCE in this world. In
the words of Mahatma Gandhi “BE THE CHANGE YOU WISH TO SEE IN THE
WORLD”.
