Michel Reimon is a former journalist who is the author of several books about free trade.
After finishing his studies in Vienna, Reimon, earning a computer science degree in 2004. He also obtained a Masters of Business Adminstration from Columbia University. Since 2006 he has taught at the University of Vienna. He has spent most his life campaigning against elements of free trade. In 2002 he was a spokesman for the STOPP GATS initiative which campaigned against liberalisation and the World Trade Organisation.
In 2010 he was selected by the Greens to represent them in the regional parliament of Burgenland, the least populous Austrian state located at the border with Hungary.
Reimon is still an active writer on the subject of free trade and maintains a blog on his website. He is devoting much of his time to writing about ongoing free trade negotiations between the EU and US (TTIP).
